Charlotte Dawson has disclosed that she's "in complete shock and devastated" after uncovering that her partner Matt Sarsfield had been sending "dirty texts" to another woman.
In her first public response since the news emerged, the 31-year-old mother of two confessed: "I'm extremely hurt, upset and disappointed about the situation."
The TV personality, known for her stint on Ex on the Beach and as the daughter of late comic Les Dawson, has been with rugby league player Matt Sarsfield for nearly a decade. Together, they are parents to Noah, aged three, and Jude, who is one.
Close friends have indicated Charlotte has been containing her emotions for the sake of her children, all while being blindsided by Matthew's actions, involving an indecent image sent to an acquaintance, reports the Mirror.
On Monday evening, Charlotte addressed her followers directly through Instagram Stories, elaborating on her sentiments and the state of her relationship, telling her 1.3 million fans: "I've had loads of messages regarding mine and Matthew's relationship and I wanted to just be honest with all of you as I navigate through this."
Continuing her heart-to-heart, Charlotte expressed how shocked and distraught she felt, revealing further: "I was in complete shock and devastated."

She also tackled rumours suggesting she profited from the controversy, stating clear-cut denial: "This is completely false and I would never do this to my family or myself" and stressed that the original story was leaked by the other party, whom she claims to not know.
Echoing her sentiments, she expressed: "I'm extremely hurt, upset and disappointed about the situation."
She also talked about the toll of handling such personal matters in the spotlight: "It's hard enough going through something like this in private, let alone publicly."
Her children are her utmost concern, she insists: "My only focus right now is on my beautiful boys as they are my main priority."
In a heartfelt online conclusion, Charlotte expressed gratitude to her supporters: "Thank you to everyone who has shared their love and support. It doesn't go unnoticed."
Matt remains silent on the allegations and appears to have deactivated his Instagram.
When speaking to the Mirror previously, Emily Louise Hodgkinson, 34, recounted how taken aback she was when the ex-Swinton Lions player Matthew, 32, sent her an unsolicited private image shortly after she shared about her run last month.
Emily came to know Matthew through a former boyfriend, a fellow rugby player, which led to them following each other on Instagram.
Emily expressed her sympathy for Charlotte during a chat, saying: "I feel so sorry for Charlotte. How could he do that to her? I'd be mortified if a partner did that to me behind my back."
She also revealed she took a screenshot of the image and recalled how Matthew, looking worried, asked her what she intended to do with it. A source close to Charlotte commented: "Naturally, friends are angry that Charlotte has been publicly humiliated by Matt's actions. Such behaviour affects the whole family, particularly their two young sons.
"She's been completely blindsided by these revelations. To say she is hurt is an understatement, and it's unclear where the relationship lies at the moment. Right now, Charlotte is trying to get her head around his actions. She's always stood by Matt, despite some ups and downs in their relationship, and Matt is not just her fiance, he's her best mate so this news has been a very hard pill to swallow."
